When we were first discussing CURVY 8 and what artists to feature in the latest book Faith47 was brought to our attention by Fletcher at Invurt. Faith47 is from Cape Town, South Africa and her pieces are a look into how humans interact with their environment, and the memories which they leave behind. Through the reconstruction of lost objects, broken-down cars, old factories and dusty side roads of forgotten towns her street art work interacts with those who by chance happen to stumble upon it on many different levels.
As luck would have it Faith47 along with DAL East are currently in Melbourne, Australia, for the Carbon Festival, plus some mural painting and Antenna Garden, an exhibition showcasing their incredible talents.
An Exhibition - Antenna Garden
Over the past 7 years Faith47 and DAL East have exhibited in over 15 countries across the globe and thanks to Rtist Gallery, their both here for the first time to Australia. Antenna Garden will feature found objects and materials from their Australian visit constructed through unique surfaces, along with the painted stories by these two.

Two BIG Murals
A collaboration between Rtist Gallery and Boss Murals has seen records broken with Faith47 and DAL East painting Australia’s tallest murals. Two 7 storey walls have been offered to each artist at the Art Series Hotel, The Cullen, in Prahan. We’ve heard that Faith’s mural is quite possibly the tallest mural in the Southern Hemisphere.
Carbon Festival
Carbon Festival has asked Faith47 and DAL East to share their thoughts on the topic of Commerce of Creativity. On the panel will also be Chaz Bojorquez. For more information on this event and the rest of the Carbon Festival visit their website www.weareallcarbon.com.
