Belinda Kemp (aka Gretchenmist) is a self taught visual artist who makes tranquil abstract, illustrative and patterned works of art. She uses a combination drawing, painting and collage in bluely green tones to create her mixed media pieces. Throughout her works there are bright beautiful shots of colour, with touches of stitching or embroidery. This all comes together to create a distinct style that is dreamy and subtle, yet still bold and bright.
Her inspiration comes from many sources, though there is a strong presence of the botanical world in her work, as well as life outdoors which comes a close second.
Belinda’s tent series already has us hanging out for the summer music festival season and weekends of skipping off to the coast.
